Empowerment through Counselling

CBS offers a range of services for those who need help managing their Money and Financial Hardship, Poverty Isolation Stress and Debt problems exacerbated by mental health as well as giving job related skills advice. CBS works with adults of all ages and helps those from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Debt and stress problems faced by single parents and low income families can be eased with our support and advice.

CBS provides group presentations as well as individual one to one sessions. Face to face advice is offered on a therapeutic journey in a non judgemental way. Person Centred Therapy and Debt Counselling are offered as part of the building of trusting relationships which are developed gradually over a period of time.

CBS also gives training in Loan Shark Awareness. Anyone borrowing money from a loan shark can face extortionate interest rates, spiralling debt and the Loan Shark could be acting illegally and can be intimidating. CBS advises and supports those who find themselves in such situations as well as giving general training on the identification of such lenders.
